Updated GNUS binary-snatcher, now it has a 'continue after interrupt' command. Use this if your server cuts you off in the middle of
something, so you don't have to check what you've gotten and then get all of the headers again. It still doesn't do multi-part articles.
I still believe that a tool must be good enough to be used by people who need to use it, but incomprehensible enough that people with no good
reason to abuse it won't invest the time learning how.

New site design by wattie2k1 - looks a lot better to me, hopefully you agree.
I still like to edit by hand in UltraEdit 6.0, so if something's messed up,
it's my fault, not wattie's :) sorry for the lack of updates, been coding
a lot, but haven't had anything 'complete' for some time. Hopefully that
will change soon though.

16 July 2001 - Old News
|
| Debugging some code, and I fixed a crash in most of my apps here, including a
mystery crash in disksort. The unzipping code I used had a major error in it,
that you would only see if you had a zip which spanned disks (or something that
looked like a zip that spanned disks). So I'm trying to rebuild all apps that
used unzipping code. DiskSort is done, and I'll be updating everything else
shortly. |

| I was looking for some of the old Infocom IF files, and came across two posts
over at Gamebase 64 which made me think of DiskSort (Previously known as C
Spray). So I made a new data file, including most (all?) of the recent TOSEC
updates, but no .TAP files this time. 2668 files listed, but when I renamed my
TOSEC C64 collection it found that 249 of these are duplicates, the same file in
different formats (or arranged differently). That's close to 10% (6.2MB) ! And,
DiskSort found them. I include a .dat made from a TOSEC collection, and a slight
update. Remember, DiskSort works for Amiga too, so you don't have to unzip or
convert ADZ to ADF. Click Here |
