  • And... I wish I had MS Office 2000 installed in this machine when I wrote that kind of letter. Just kidding. Oh well, if you're feeling down, depressed and lonely... try listening to Wesley Willis, maybe that'll cheer your sorry ass up. Or maybe, if you're a StarFlight fan (I think I am), just jump in here, mmmkay ? Thank you Opi, rde, Wesley, Rogue.

  • I really know I update this "emulation website" once in a full moon, but who cares ? Interesting emulation news are/may be... ummm... the updates to RockNES, Mimic and Final Burn... MEP's rebirth, even though I really hate it when I receive previously unrequested email... and maybe rom releases for the english versions of Pokémon Gold/Silver (click here for romz). Can't think of anything else. Ah, I'm no turncoat. Just very lazy. And sick. And lacking some enthusiasm, I am. Lead singers of the moment ? Kevin Sharp and Messiah Marcolin.

  • Bookmark updating time... David Wonn's site is now located here. You probably saw one or two links to his site here some time ago, so you know what I'm talking about. GLITCHES !!$!@#@%$#!@!

  • Now, on to the interesting stuff. Fx3 released Visine some time ago; it's a MegaMan II (NES) level editor, so easy to use that even I could do some level editing... give it a try ! (yea, MegaMan up dat ass)

  • Mr. Zophar Has Manboobs has left the building. "Lev II" is now in charge of ZMD. Barely human, aren't they ?

  • Five steps for those who can compile something: (sorry about any typos, lack of capitalization, etc)
    1) download latest fpse sources
    2) change "fpse" to any other name
    3) remove all copyright stuff
    4) release it and claim it's your work
    5) put a big fuck you to fpse team, claiming that YOUR source was stolen
That's a thing that MUST be done. This kills any "ethical" stuff related to the "emu scene", but... fuck it.
  • Wednesday - 13/09/2000

  • AMEN.
  • Thursday - 07/09/2000

  • No.

  • Priceless... and not suitable for minors. So, if you're under 10, try visiting a child-oriented site... oops. Thanks to MindRape for the link.

  • "BRAZILIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY !"
Damn, an old but good section of a site only gets shown (and directly linked, Jim Pragit style) when "the public" (the majority of it is a LOL (==Lots Of Lamers)) needs Playchoice 10 r0mz. And I'm not posting about any layout changes especially when I'm spammed about it, and it's about a site I visited only twice in 3 years of "experience"...
  • Wednesday - 06/09/2000

  • Damn it, Flat Eric. Damn it, holliman & BADBATZ.

  • Again, I added a poll to this site. Go vote. Also check out Propaganda's current poll.
  • Monday - 04/09/2000

  • (down with repeated capitalization) Profund Darkness released an ISO/MP3 "set" for... Sonic CD Beta !!! (as seen at the Tavern :D) -- MIRRORS ARE NEEDED

  • "Sorry I couldn't call you back, my phone was hax0r3d."
  • Saturday - 02/09/2000

  • Asociacion de Amigos del MSX... wish I noticed that site earlier because it rocks.

  • New ZSNES and new GENS. Priceless...

  • "I'm of Brasil and it haves no access to Usenet at my provider of the internet !"
No problem, just subscribe to Terra Livre, it provides Usenet access as well. And it's free but it's available at only a few cities right now. Translating to portuguese, more directly: se seu provedor nao te da' acesso a Usenet inscreva-se de graça no Terra Livre que teu problema ta' resolvido. Agradecimentos adicionais a uma amiga que me encorajou a me inscrever la' pq o discador nao fica na tela :D (isso ta' mais q comprovado, valeu Rocket Queen)
Want news ? Make your own. Just don't open a new emunews website, please... or else I'll have to kill you.
  • Monday - 21/08/2000

  • "News":
    - Only now I watched that videoclip of that electronic music band with a bizarre name, and it really kicks ass. And no, I didn't first hear about it on any emulation websites... actually I kinda know one of the guys behind that video. And he's a Mr. Bungle fan.
    - Genesis Power releases: Strider, Super Battleship, TMNT: Tournament Fighters, Toy Story, MK2 and 2 versions of Fantasia.
    - Something's keeping MC_Wildstyle busy... he added 50 new titles to ZX and 6 new ones to ALE.
    - Billy Jr. of FC Power, which needs some kind of index.htm in its root directory, released 2 new extremely rare NES games. The SF Zero 2 is slightly different to that one that's already available. And for more interesting NES stuff, try visiting JAPAN.

Well, I believe there's no more "news" this time. And I'm really sorry in advance... in case I disappear from updating this site once again. All the time I stay online I do other things... not to mention real life problems I've been having (which are too many to mention here). And my motivation is going down the drain once again.
  • Thursday - 17/08/2000

  • No porn this time... Breath of Fire 3 (Chinese) for the Genesis is here. Don't panic. Additional info/thanks on the text file inside the zip. And the emulamers are drowned in their own lameness, so this time they won't be able to download that rom from here (or from somewhere else) and claim they released it.

  • Huge update at the AGA World...

  • I'd like to order a green tentacle pizza... take-out.
  • Tuesday - 15/08/2000

  • Oh well, so this Sonic 1 Beta is legitimate according to GoodGen... as if anyone should care about it. Download if you want, I won't bite. And thanks to the Sheik for reminding me about GoodGen.

  • Badge's Lighthouse was updated with new... umm... reviews. Highlights ? Naru Mahjong for the PC98, Doom and Super BomberMan 5 Gold for the SNES... but there's more stuff to look at.
    Fear the mailing list...

  • Nice site... shoving some truth up your buttocks the funny way.

  • Added an extremely simple (and easy to do) Flash 4 animation to "replace" the static logo.
  • Monday - 14/08/2000

  • It's about time such a thing happened. Hope this one hits Brazil also !!!@%!#¨!$¨@#&!

  • Surf the web the 1337 way... Nightmare level highly recommended.

  • FC Power strikes again with some unofficial version of The Lion King.

  • PC Remakes of classics: Dizzy (old 8 bit title seen on many platforms) and Combat (a true Atari2600 classic, 2 player action at its finest).

  • Fulfilled X68K requests: Night Janki, Princess Minerva and Ranma 1/2 Hiryu Densetsu.

  • A few new Saturn/3DO ISOs were added to SegaXtreme/3D0Xtreme...

  • Latest Genesis Power releases: Steel Empire, Spiderman Vs Kingpin, Shaq Fu, Mutant League Hockey, Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, Wimbledon Championship Tennis, Math Blaster and Last Action Hero.

  • A thing some people should be warned about earlier... keep blaming lev, but don't be hypocrites.
  • Saturday - 12/08/2000

  • FC Power ! Started by BillyJr, this site intends to release NES r0mz made in China, Taiwan or other "unusual" places (this may include Ciudad del Este, PY), and its first release is Sango IV, a poor Final Fight clone.

  • Atari Power ! Miss Piggy's Wedding (early prototype) was released at the Atari2600 Nexus, and that same site warned us about some ROM page at the CG Expo website, which features a few Atari2600/5200 goodies. And EmuCity put online a complete Good2600 v0.999.3 set of Atari r0mz (1242 r0mz).
  • Thursday - 10/08/2000

  • 9 new requests fulfilled at the Amiga Emulation Zone, including Stormlord and Impact (no, not the emulator).

  • A GameGear golf game called World Class LeaderBoard was released at SMS Power.
Thanks to EmuSphere for the news.

  • Secret Agent is an Atari2600 prototype released recently somewhere.

  • I'd like to wish a happy birthday to my sweetheart today. I just need to buy her another gift ;) (the other one is me)
And sorry about the weekday mispelling 2 days ago. (and Till, yer welcome)
  • Tuesday - 08/08/2000

  • OMG, another orifice is (re)invented... a proof that not even Netscape is really safe :(

  • You probably saw a countdown on RC Roms lately... well, it's back but seems to be "rom-less" now. Thanks to Jemu for the warning.

  • More lemons for j00... including T2: Judgement Day and Pinball Spectacular.

  • Nice cheated roms section they got there...
  • Sunday - 06/08/2000

  • About time such a thing happened. Lesson is... don't overhype things inside the scene unless you wanna get... oh, you know.

  • Go here and try to count how many times you see the word 'lame' on that page.
Thanks to rde for the lameness compilation.

  • SHAKE yer BOOTY!!!!!! starring Mario... damn it... can't stop laughing... stayin' alive, stayin' alive... and I thought Mario was a punk rocker.
Thanks to Boba Fett for the disco session.

  • Latest Genesis Power releases: Beyond Oasis, Columns III, Contra - Hard Corps, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, James Pond 3 and Brutal - Paws Of Fury. Enjoy it all now.

  • Terminator for the SegaCD is available at the Sega RomHouse.
  • Saturday - 05/08/2000

  • Another update at ALE today, bringing you another 20 Assassins. I agree that everyone should be killed, keep bringing on the Assassins.

  • Innocent Emulation reached 15,000 roms today !

  • As seen on Sardius' msgboard, Lucky and Mark Knibbs (with a little help from "mm-mm") bring you Street Fighter II - YOKO Pirate Version. It probably works on SMYNES 1.1, which I haven't downloaded yet. Hopefully other emulators will add support for that game in the future.

  • I really hope that this thing I brought you is a legitimate Sonic 1 beta. I'm still not sure about that. But there it is.
LOL = Lots Of Love. LOL to the nurse.

  • More Amiga-related stuff... this site called AGA World added 10 new games to their AGA games collection.

  • Today's ALE update brought us 9 new demos and 12 new Assassins disks.
  • Friday - 04/08/2000

  • Whee, something I was looking for... a WAP browser/emulator/simulator, because I'm curious to see it but I'm not brave enough to buy a WAP-compatible mobile phone. Thanks, Dave.

  • REIROM kinda quit the scene and it's not the first time he does that. I wish a lot of "emumans" could follow him, but quitting the scene for good unlike REIROM did. None of them would be missed.

  • "Founded August, 4th 1997" and becoming 3 years old today... that's SYS2064 !!! Happy birthday !

  • A beta version of Sonic Spinball was posted at EmuCult. This server sometimes "ignores" file uploading... this news tidbit should be seen yesterday.
  • Thursday - 03/08/2000

  • PR Translations moved a while ago and I didn't notice that. "A while ago" means PR even updated the Pokémon Gold translation patch...
  • Wednesday - 02/08/2000

  • A hundred... err... actually more than a hundred new Acorn Electron games were added to the Stairway to Hell. Lemon added 62 new C64 games as well. Also, Amiga Emulation Zone added 17 new games, highlighting Hare Raising Havoc (I dunno why :D). And some misc. stuff including 3 PSX ISOs was added to TopSNES. And some misc. games were added to the X68000 Game Pile. Guess that's all for now. Keep on rotting in the free world.
  • Tuesday - 01/08/2000

  • Emulation: it's all about the money, nowadays. Many owners of webcopynews sites (both owners and sites suck cock) know that, eh ? :) Thankfully, to contradict that a bit, Fusion 3.0 is now available for free at Emulators Online.
June/July news were archived already. I'll only leave 31/07 up for now.
  • Monday - 31/07/2000

  • ...and a happy birthday to our founder demolition !

  • Go leech KI, go. That game fucking sucks.

  • Genesis Power just released James Pond 2, probably the nicer game of the series.
Update: I believe I'll start doing those "Genesis Power updates" on a weekly basis. You're surely getting tired of reading these things every single day on every single webcopynews site... they're almost all the same, aren't they ?
