about old stuff poll

Tuesday - 30/1/2001

  • Download VGBA now. It will become shareware once it emulates commercial stuff, since Marat does not like to provide free entertainment for the vermin. I'm proud to be a vermin, give me rhomz already !#&!#¨!&%#!

  • TheRedEye's was recently updated with even more pirate NES games... highlights for KOF97 and a horrible SF2 attempt featuring a lot of "peoples".

  • Let's take some time to view a pic of Britney "yes I sing with playbacks all the time" Spears that many ppl probably were waiting for... and this time I think it's not a fake. Thanks to dust and stile for the pic.

  • Heh, isn't this a really nice way of testing how reliable can the snail-mail service be ? Thanks to kevtris for the link.

  • This link is dedicated to all you smokers out there, I just dunno if that thing works or not ;) Thanks to Entro_Meteu for the link.

  • Monday - 29/1/2001

  • "(...) So tell all your friends and neighbors and webcopynews kings that Vertigo and GGFTP are back in town!"
    ...okay, done.

  • Sunday - 28/1/2001

  • A new version of the official nester is out, even though I don't know what's new. Thanks to Emulation9 for the news.

  • I'd like to thank Dave for implementing in FinalBurn 0.084 a thing I, and probably some other ppl, suggested... which is that button for 3 simmultaneous punches/kicks.

  • "(...) the midget still didn't lose his virginity" -- IRC quote by some known guy out there...
And don't you dare to disagree with anything said in this song because 100% of that song's lyrics are 110% true. If you don't think so, then simply stop visiting this site, and go fuck yourself and suck cock somewhere else.

  • Friday - 26/1/2001

  • If you ever visited the donations page over at CPS2Shock, you'd also know that the newest game added to Final Burn (0.080 now !) is Vampire aka DarkStalkers ! And the next ones may be either Alien vs. Predator or D&D 1... who knows :) And if you have any CPS2 boards, DO donate them and help CPS2 emulation to make a lot of progress... whoever dumped the encrypted CPS2 stuff could make such donations.

  • Thursday - 25/1/2001

  • Oh my, I'm such a dirty pirate, I'm a vermin, I'm a vegetable ! VGB 2.0 is out at least since 11/11/2000 ! And here's some evidence for you to suck on. Get some n00z. Yes, get some l33t 3m00n00z. Someone whose site's name starts with an 'S' was absolutely right about the site who originally posted something today about VGB 2.0, like, almost 3 months after the release date. Get some n00z. Yes, get some l33t 3m00n00z.

  • Aww, NeoGeoCD releases are so sweet, I wonder why they're so rarely mentioned on those... err... nevermind.

  • Wednesday - 24/1/2001

  • I'd like to take some time to...
    - welcome RockNES to the neighborhood;
    - ask why are all those retro-hypocrites so damn concerned about the DreamCast being or being not dead, since the DC is soooooooooo retro;
    - and warn you guys who are hardcore MIDI composers about this contest which I just read about at EmuGaming, and since it's music-related, it's probably cool.

  • Why almost every site I visit keeps turning into a personal diary (or a collection of those) ? Eeeeeugh, I'd better review my concepts of 'nice sites'. Nice sites like this one (thanks to Boba Fett for the link) which contains some interesting and funny stuff :D

  • One thing I have to say is... *nothing justifies greed*.
This applies to oh so many people that deal with things of my interest (which I'm not the only who's interested in them). Bleugh.

  • Another cool update happened at HeboWin's bringing us a new version, which new features I have absolutely no idea about what they are. Get some.

  • 0.079 awaits. Hell yeah. And if you haven't found rhomz yet (Vampire Saviorrrrrrrrrrrr), look more carefully at the links I throw at you.

  • Sunday - 21/1/2001

  • Again, a new version of Final Burn is available. But this one also supports Vampire Savior !!!! Yes, stop playing SF Zero and go play Vampire Savior now :) Thanks to demolition for the news and the rhomz.

  • Saturday - 20/1/2001

  • I almost forgot: the best Atari2600 emulator out there, also known as z26, was updated to version 1.42, and it runs those two newer roms posted at Atari2600 Nexus. Thanks to P-Strife for the rhomz.

  • There's also the usual update here which now uses even more files that can be grabbed from here in case you have a few other needed files that can be grabbed from somewhere (no "here" links this time, sorry).

  • As expected, a new RockNES (DOS) was released ! Go visit the official website to download it and see the huge list of changes... and why don't you stop yet again at TheRedEye's to download some recently released NES roms and look at some 8-bit porn ?

  • Friday - 19/1/2001

  • I'll just post a thing about seeing this site shut down: "TheBloodyButcher" and "Zack Hall" deserve two things... #1 is a nice homebrewn rom containing some annoying-colored text such as "TheBloody Butcher has manboobs" or "Zack Hall likes assrape" or smth like that... and #2 is a blue lethal injection.

  • HeboWin rules, it's a brand new GBC emulator that supports... erm... something. And it's nice to use it to run some GBC oddities recently released by Rapid Fire (and available somewhere on the internet), such as the barely playable Pocket Monsters GO!GO!GO! which features Meowth as an engrish-speaking Celine Dion wannabe.

  • Tuesday - 16/1/2001

  • I don't know if the crazy, sleepless Final Burn updates will restart, since row scroll was implemented... 0.075 is the latest.

  • SubPort and CGBArchive brought me (and now you, unless you visited those earlier) this nice SGB release named Super Fighter 99, which is probably a pirate cart... fortunately this one was dumped/preserved. Another interesting game at CGBArchive is the official version of Mario Tennis in english.

  • Another interesting release now available at TheRedEye's is the french version of Saint Seiya, along with an informative tutorial for that game, helping those that can't read french (until proper translations show up, any romhackers around ?)

  • Saturday - 13/1/2001

  • Yup, Mortal Kombat V 1996 Turbo 30 Peoples exists on the NES :) And there's (finally) also a french version of Shadowgate. All available at TheRedEye's (which should no longer be confused with FEFEA itself ;)

  • Sunday - 7/1/2001

  • I manually updated the news archives.

  • A new version of Modeler was released... now there are two different versions: 0.0.4, which emulates the System32 only, and 0.0.5 which only emulates Model1. No games in 0.0.5 are playable, though (no 3D graphics yet). Thanks to Emulatronia for the news.

  • Better late than never... I'd like to congratulate Emulation9, one of the rare decent emunews websites, for their 2000000 visits. All our japanese visitors should visit that site if they haven't done that yet :P

  • There's some more new NES roms available at FEFEA... if you know what FEFEA is you also probably already know who helped bringing us all that good stuff.

  • Heh... DCPC was a fake and was hosted by the lamest emulation site in the world. That combination makes me want to congratulate the DCPC 'author'. Ah, if you still haven't realized that yet, the lamest emulation site in the world is always looking for new emulators' sites to be hosted by them so they fill those sites with banners and earn some cash because you unintentionally help them to do so. Did I hear somebody in the crowd yell 'boycott' ?

  • Friday - 5/1/2001

  • Yes, Final Burn is being updated massively, now supporting QSound and shit. It's a bit slow on my machine, but my machine sucks. Since my machine sucks, I wonder if anyone out there is trying to patch Callus so it supports CPS2 someday... oh, btw, click here for romz and here for a nice FAQ about SF Alpha. Most news sites are becoming even more useless.

  • Monday - 1/1/2001

  • Everyone was waiting for CPS2 emulation. Yes, everyone. Or almost. Well, CPS2 emulation is slowly becoming a reality ! (see here) I believe that 2001's greatest breakthrough in emulation will be CPS2. (just like N64 emulation reached a higher level in 1999, if any of you remember)

  • Greetings. Welcome to the 3rd Millennium. (whoa, the 'turd' millennium)
Click here to see who actually dumped/released the Genesis version of Ronaldinho '98 ;)
Well, a more official release will come in the future; this one that happened was more of a... leak.
