Heh... no other sites seem to care about CBT, I think I'm the only one to report that they released a 100% english-portuguese translation patch for Secret of Mana (SNES). More patches are being worked on, so stay tuned. Thanks to Sonix for the news.

Speaking of releases there are a few new SMS ones at SMS Power. Go get them ! (latest one is Gain Ground)

Hmm... MAME 0.35 RC2, loopyNES (new secret beta), TrueReality (Windows), FCE Ultra 0.14... well, that's a few emu releases I remember that happened recently.

I'll be returning shortly (NO MORE EXAMS !!!). In the meantime enjoy the new Games of the Week... thank you boy, thank you teacher, thank you girls... :P
And if Virtua Racing didn't work on the emulators, try it on a copier (if you have one).

I dedicate this piece of news to all our brazilian visitors, you'll know why :) You certainly heard of a few brazilian ROM translation groups but... finally there's one worth mentioning, and it's called CBT - Central Brasileira de Traduções (BTC, for our foreign visitors).
What it contains is a bunch of translation projects (english to portuguese, and even japanese to portuguese), one of them being Super Mario RPG (which progress is coming along nicely) and these projects include even a few PSX titles (no, I'm not drunk). CBT also accepts contributions and suggestions from their visitors, so go take a look (even if you don't speak any portuguese) and contribute, if you can !

Now, on to the usual news:
- A few new NeoGeo roms are out (Irritating Maze, among others) and because of that some NeoGeo emulators were updated... such as KBMAME (which has trackball support) and the almighty NeoRAGEx.
- Don't you love using zipped roms with your emus ? Well, if you do, try the new DGen and the new SNES9XWin.
- And two NES emulators have also been updated... Pretendo and the national product (buy it because it's really good... err... actually it's for FREE) RockNES.
- NES emulators updated, GameBoy emulators halted (namely DBoy and HelloGB). C'est la vie.
- No new emulators for the SMS fans... only new roms... 3 of them... all available at SMS Power.
- And I found the Ministry version of Bob Dylan's "Lay Lady Lay" in MP3 format, after over a year searching for that song !

Well, more bad news for me, and for our visitors too. The FTP which hosts our roms (and also hosts part of ROM Trek's roms too) is definitely down. I'm already looking for another one... minimum requirements: TONS of space and bandwidth. Thanks to all the ppl that can help... and also thanks to all our nice visitors (because I never got flamed because of broken rom links).
Btw, ROM Trek wasn't fully 'destroyed', unlike this site. And another site which has been 'destroyed' is news-u-lator, which I used to visit daily. Now that's a loss.

Heh, long time no see... I'm still having exams (Friday's the last one), being 4 of them (2 of them pretty difficult). I was gonna do this small update during last weekend but that weekend was very shitty (I had to study a lot, do a huge report and (the worst thing) my girlfriend got very sick). So, here's the 'promised' update. Better late than never.

New Game of the Week !!! A very(^infinite times) rare game... just sent to me by the 'horrible' X X X (heh).
And don't be surprised if that ROM doesn't work on ANY emulators. It really doesn't (for now).

No, I didn't forget the new Raine 0.23. No new games but Sidewinder users will love this one.
And my exams begin today. So... you'll see even less updates this week (and next week, too).

NeoGeo Country released Super Dodgeball for the NeoGeo ! 7 more remaining :) But... it seems like NGC is 'demanding' donations ?

Doh, I think it was me who drank too much when forgetting about SMS Power's last release... a great soccer game called World Soccer (also known as Super Futebol 1 here in Brazil).

It looks like we had three 400,000th visitors: Drew Dennis, Ed Higgins and Thomas K. Pretto. And I've been warned that you can't see the counter when using IE 5.0. Conclusion: use Netscape, and stop drinking too much :)

Oh my God, they killed PSEmu, you bastards. And now I think that the PSEmu leaked beta will leak more and more and more... sad news indeed.

Another thing that 'shocked' us was the release of Raine 0.22, which now supports, among others, an almost unknown game called Chase HQ.

Both NAZ and Apollo69 quit dumping NeoGeo ROMs today. Period.

While The Scribe keeps maintaining his EMUFAQ (which is available at Eidolon's Inn, or Zophar's Domain), it looks like he's gonna resume his work on the Genesis Chart :)

Now all N64 emulators will have a good chance to improve, thanks to Mike Tedder (bpoint) who released the source code for Project UnReality !!!

MSX ROMs/disk images links fixed... ZzZZZZZZzzzZZzZZzZZzZZzz...

Vertigo 2099 NES Pack #60 are our Games of the Week (no Metal Slug X here, try BurnSpeed for that). And please note that, after getting the pack 3 times on IRC (with some CRC errors), I had to split those packs up and rejoin them (without any CRC errors, at least on my computer) on a 'different' pack.

Heh... new ROM releases for both SMS and NES.
For the SMS, by Dump Masters, we have Castelo Ra-Tim-Bum, which is a childish game but had to be dumped ;)
And for the NES, by Vertigo 2099 (did anyone say Opoth ?) we have the Vertigo 2099 NES Pack #60 which contains some great stuff. I didn't get that pack for now, but it'll be here as soon as possible.

The Windows port of SNES9X has been updated ! Also... another emulator which was updated recently is Megasis.

BrSMS 1.21 has been released. Lightgun support has been improved, SF2 (6 megabit game) is now supported, and there are a few other additions/bugfixes.

Heh, many of you noticed this server's downtime. Luckily it's back. But what happened ? I have no idea.

Thanks to Kanze we now know the title of that japanese SNES dodgeball game added yesterday, it's called 'Kunio Kun No Dodgeball - Zenin Shuugou'. Long title, eh ?

ROMs section news: 8 new GameBoy ROMs (including 4 kickass Konami titles) and 1 new SNES ROM added (a japanese dodgeball game... mail me if you know its exact title). And two broken links fixed in the Genesis area.

After a long time of absence... Badge's Lighthouse is back !!!
The site has a brand new look... and TONS of new stuff (not only SNES related... and there's a nice surprise for Amstrad CPC fans). Badge's site is a proof that good things can get even better :)

The links section really needs an update (but not right now, calm down !). Well, mainly because I have some additions, such as a very nice 'new' site called Hyrule Castle, which has emulation news, translations, polls, reviews (including a section where you can submit your own reviews), and all that Zelda feeling !

Some interesting emulator releases... TrueReality for Windows (the source is also available) and the last (???) beta of System16. Well, System16 has been discontinued by Thierry and Nao, but it's an open source emulator now :)
