news by FNM WinUAE 0.88 R1 beta 5 has been released. It's not yet available at its official site but for now you can get it at sites such as Emulatronia and EmuSphere. Well, the new features can be seen on the official website, so I strongly suggest you go there now, if you're interested.

news by FNM If you visit this site often and doesn't know who is The Scribe, you simply don't exist :) Well, actually, The Scribe just left the Sega scene to concentrate on his 'new' SNES Software Source (S3, for short). And before all that happened, he released new versions of his Genesis related docs, and from now on those docs will be maintained by Eidolon.
*recommended attitude* You can get those docs I mentioned at Eidolon's Inn.

news by FNM MAME .35 beta 9 was released and a bunch of new games are now playable, including Super Burger Time and a few old but good Sega games... along with the usual improvements/bugfixes/etc.

news by FNM Hu6280WIN 1.89 beta 8 has just been released ! In this new version most of the CPU core has been optimized into X86 ASM so expect HU6280 to be (even) faster now :) Thanks to jamsponge for the news (again, HU6280's author announced it on IRC).

news by FNM OK, OK, Zoop was unable to release MEKA yesterday, but he scheduled the release for April 3rd... and I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

news by FNM The ultimate NES collectors info site, popularly known as NES WORLD, is back online. Hooray !!!

news by FNM Click here to go to the new Nofrendo website... (don't capitalize the 'eff' plz !)

news by FNM The SNES ROMs Section gets 6 new additions, which are: M.A.C.S. (finally), Super Final Match Tennis, Super WildCard DX2 BIOS ROM, TaeKwon-Do, UniRally and Winter Gold FX !!!

news by FNM Time to change the Games of the Week... now they are 720 and BeatMania, both for the GameBoy Color. Check the top of this page to get them.

news by FNM Emulation Camp celebrates its 2nd birthday today... releasing Power Strike 2 for the SMS... and MEKA's release is imminent :)

news by FNM NeoCharity released the sound fixes for Pulstar and Ninja Masters. Now there are only three more to go...

news by FNM I sadly announce that Badge's Lighthouse won't carry ROMs anymore. This is very very bad news for the SNES collectors out there...

news by FNM New emu releases... mainly a new MAME beta (properly ported to Windows, etc. etc. etc.), DBOY 0.47 and a new demo version of bleem! with color MDEC support.
And there are already at least 2 FAKE 'final releases' of bleem!, one is a fake and the other is a trojan.

The Academy is surely weird (and influenced by the Italian mafia).

news by FNM Jim Pragit quits. Read the full story at Emu News World...
(believe me or not, he'll be missed)

news by FNM Do you feel like browsing thru a complete archive of SNES RPGs (japanese or not) ? Consider yourself lucky because there is an archive like that, and it's named Amalgam's Realm... one more for our ROM Links Section :)
Other sites news: Data Potato is back... and Badge's Lighthouse posted 2 ULTRA RARE SNES ROMs this week !!! (I won't post them here until Badge removes them from his site, sorry).

news by FNM You may be messin' with bleem! at this very moment. Even if that demo version does less than the leaked beta... anyway, it's bleem!, and it's great ! (and the demo has a time limit, and no 3D accelerator support, and no sound, and no non-B&W MDEC support...)

news by FNM PSyKe 0.20 FINAL has been released at Emu24X... this final release adds CDXA emulation, and it's faster than the previous ones. And PSyKe has been officially discontinued :( Thanks to EmuViews for the news.

news by FNM Time to change the Games of the Week... this week's games are the weird, but veeeeeeeery fun Toobin' and the recently-sound-fixed Waku Waku 7. Enjoy !

news by FNM Great news for NES emulation fans... Super Mario 3 will run with NO gfx bugs on the next release of RockNES :)

news by FNM I got the damn flu... anyway, we have something neat for you: DBoy 0.46, StellaX 1.1.1 (bugfix release of this Win32 Atari2600 emu) and MAME 0.35 beta 7.
And a note about this new MAME beta: Gridle's binary doesn't seem to run NeoGeo games after all... so you should consider trying this binary (which was compiled by TAS 2012) which uses the ASM engine for 68K emulation. This one runs the NeoGeo stuff without any problems.

The designer of Pong interviewed! Brian Deuel interviewed Al Alcorn, he designed and engineered Pong with Nolan Bushnell. He also released the home version of Pong and building early coinops. To read the interview click in the link.

NINU, a new N64 emulator for Linux(OpenGL) is under development. This emulator is using the UltraHLE source, and supposed to run better under Wine and Win98. But to run it you will need a 3dfx card :(

Manhole 0.1b Released! Manhole, the Nintendo's Game & Watch game simulator now have a new version. This version doesn't have sound, and the game never ends, but the movement of the characters is so pretty.

news by FNM As far as I can read Spanish... st0rm SGE 1.0 beta has been released and it's available at Emulatronia. This new version includes preliminary sound emulation, and a GUI too... and, also, the SOURCE CODE for this emulator has been released as well !

news by FNM "In theory, the emulator has really improved".
This is Fx3 talking about RockNES... be sure to check out the screenshots taken from the next version of RockNES !

news by FNM Look at what I've missed ! FOUR GameBoy emulators were updated, check 'em all: DBoy, GBFan, NO$GMB and KGB.
Other great emulators that were updated are JAS-SYS1, the Namco System 1 emulator which added support for Galaga '88 (and it'll probably support Dragon Spirits on its next release) and Nemu64 (according to what was posted in the Nemu64 website, MK Trilogy shows up the title screen, vnes64 (NES emulator) "works" (tried with Zelda 1) and Virtual Springfield Site also displays some nice things).
Also, some 'alternate' MAMEs (such as BrMAME) were also updated... and VRMAME is really a KBMAME hack... its supposed author admitted it.

news by FNM Ah, I finally installed another sound card last Sunday... I spent 2 months without one, so the first thing I did was to gather a few MP3s :) And, three days after that, NeoCharity released the fixed sound ROMs for Waku Waku 7 !!! And that game was already great without sound... I'll probably post it as the next Game of the Week (sound-fixed already).
