  • This is officially END's last post of the year/century/millennium. And what do I have to say ? Nothing, except that this is really an unexpected moment; I didn't expect this site to live so long and I want to thank everyone that supported this site in its "long" run. I won't mention any names due to the fact that I hate forgetting people who were nice to me, so I'm thanking everyone and supposing they know who they are. For you all, peace, happines, health, wealth (if possible), etc.
AND A HAPPY 2001 TO EVERYONE ! (everyone but the people who show sympathy to some midget-related site out there)

    ...I'm outta here !

  • Last news tidbits of the millenium, courtesy of Emulation9:
    - Team Japump dumped some new stuff;
    - And new versions of unofficial Nester and nesterJ are out; won't tell what's new, didn't download it yet... I'll download it here later.

That's all, I guess. A late happy 2001 to all japanese/australian/east timor ppl (and more).

  • Saturday - 30/12/2000

  • Well, as most brazilians know, a big incident happened today during the very final of the Brazilian soccer championship, and the results are already known. It's just another proof that one individual named Eurico Miranda (which behaves just like a certain circus midget) really sucks. For non-brazilian soccer fans, there's a coverage of that incident here. 2000's champions will only be known in the next year...
...and now I'm revealing my plans of putting a Sao Caetano badge replacing the usual logo, in case Sao Caetano were champions.

  • Till: thanks for the thanks on your site. I must admit that I felt good by being mentioned as the maintainer of an unique site... even though this site isn't that unique :)

  • If you feel like downloading some different fonts to use later, go check out this site. Thanks to Marcus for the link.
BTW, the next END logo will use one of the fonts on that site I just mentioned.

  • Thanks to Atari2600 Nexus I found out about the release of a prototype game called Telepathy, which was dumped and released by the cartridge's owner, whose homepage (featuring some more stuff) is located here.

  • Is anybody interested in "de-jap-ing" a great Genesis game ? If so, go visit the Eidolon Translation Group and see how you can collaborate in the current Surging Aura translation.

  • Recently I told you something about a girl called Ellen Rocche... well, here she is dressed up just like Lara Croft.
(and kicking Angelina Jolie's ass !)

  • Well, Ronaldinho Soccer 98 for the Genesis was released already. It's available somewhere at PE2000. I don't know how, when, and who dumped this, but after a few moments of trying to know those facts, I sincerely don't wanna know anymore. Thank some lamers for that. And they're even stupider than 1 year ago, when one of them asked/begged me for that same rom... which I only have now.

  • Many compatibility issues were solved on this newest release of Z26... now supporting some kind of primitive "Atari2600 computer language" (heh).

  • And EmuZone is probably presenting us with the last SNES rom release of the millenium: Metal Slader Glory ! There's also other stuff on that site, which I couldn't read...

  • Well, everyone's heard many rumours about Sega... and this one, which is about Sega slowly stopping hardware development, just joined the bunch... thanks to seventh for the link.

  • Wow, a laser turntable... a must-see for those vinyl freaks out there... especially those who have a lot of money (the machinery is expensive).

  • Thursday - 28/12/2000

  • SPANISH APRIL FOOLS FOR EVERYONE ! Yep, Dreamer was an April Fools joke. It's not our fault that the spanish 'April Fools' day is 28/12... thanks to Till for clearing things up and reminding me of something listed in the news archives (go look for what happened in 28/12/1998)
(added vilagran to the list of the M.I.A. people)

  • Emusphere throwed some strong argument against Dreamer. And also a very intriguing question which I'll answer:
"Was Emulatronia trying to garner some hits?" -- No, because there aren't any circus midgets and/or 31-year-old virgins working there. Either the Emulatronia guys were fooled, or all this Dreamer thing is real. Only time, and maybe a leaked beta or two, will tell.

  • Wednesday - 27/12/2000

  • And if you feel like learning how to say bad words in several languages, the link is already there. Thanks to #GameROM founder S_Snake for the pocket dictionary.

  • According to this text, it seems that everyone in the world needs some more geography lessons... and all the .be domains should be assimilated as well. Thanks to Tuna for the link. (This site is part of the pro-Tuna movement)

  • I'd love to buy and "build" this kind of house if it was more... durable and reliable. Great idea though, it just needs some home improvement ;)

  • ZSNES implemented netplay... a very nice feature that's also making its way into RockNESx. NEKKETSU !!!

  • Both MEKA and ZSNES (DOS) were updated... is this some kind of recall for those lovely xmas gifts ? :)
*Update: this latest MEKA update, which corresponds to version 0.56, is much more than a simple bugfix release... one of the new features is that SF-7000 (never heard of it :D) emulation was added. Stupid me.

  • Incredible news... even though it's the most sluggish emulation attempt ever (heh), Dreamer gave a first shot at emulating commercial Dreamcast games (at least Crazy Taxi), even though it's with no sound (don't even think about complaining).
Nice pics... will the midget front steal those also ? I think so.

  • Tuesday - 26/12/2000

  • By being the last one to announce the usual xmas release of ZSNES, I feel proud of myself. And at least I properly link to its official site, unlike the midgetry does.

  • This lovely image/phrase combo suits the overrated, overhyped, overmainstreamed "emulation scene and/or community" perfectly. (courtesy of despair.com)

  • Monday - 25/12/2000

  • Yes, as Zoop previously announced, a new version of Magic Engine was released !!! And it became even more worth registering because of that CD-ROM contest... apart from the usual improvements :)
And on a sidenote, I hope your Christmas gifts were as good as mine was.

  • And, as two very nice gifts, we have new versions of both PCAE and IntV ! If you don't know shit about these emulators you probably missed a lot of good stuff already... so visit this site and find what those are all about in the mix.

  • Genesis Power gave us some nice hockey games for Christmas... brrrrr.

  • Heh, everyone's Christmas MESS is ready...

  • Sunday - 24/12/2000

  • Oh well, no Christmas logos for you, who needs those anyway ? Merry Christmas !!!!!!!!
And my poor Christmas gift to you all is pushing you into the funny realm of... Jud Jud ?

  • Duncan over at WWEmu also delivered two special Christmas gifts: "never-seen-before" beta versions of Impact and PSEmuPro2000 !
(I think the leakage was authorized, before you start sending hate mail to Duncan)

  • Boukichi also made his Christmas gift for all of us: DBOY 0.74 ! Thanks to EmuSphere for delivering that one.

  • Zoop delivered his Christmas gift to everyone. After opening it I was amazed to see that it was MEKA 0.55b !!! Thanks to Kinox and Joe Bucci for the delivery.

  • Saturday - 23/12/2000

  • I wonder if all those "big" sites merged all of a sudden... imagine the manboobs dude, the circus midget with a high-pitched voice, the 31-year old anime freak which is also a virgin, the one who seems to post news for a living, and all the rest... along with less copying and pasting of news, maybe even more unique news... I'm really excited about seeing a merge of many many emulation sites out there, that'll be good for the "scene". I won't merge with anyone, though... if I wanted to merge with any sites, such a thing would've been done already. I'll just keep being my own one-man army.

  • Thursday - 21/12/2000

  • A few bugs were still standing there, and then they were squished, and GENS 0.92b was born.

  • Now this is *THE* Napster ban everyone wants to see...

  • I'd really love to know if there are any hot females selling hot-dogs around (heh, that's kind of impossible around here)... so they can do this at work.

  • Bad news which had to be announced: Ricardo Bittencourt officially discontinued BrMSX. But, according to AAMSX (where I saw this news) there's some good news regarding BrMSX... and proving it's not really defunct:
During 2001, BrMSX will be split in two projects: BrMSX-Win, a Windows/DirectX version of BrMSX, and BrMSX-on-a-chip, which is a hardware implementation of BrMSX using FPGA technology. These projects will be released in the end of 2001.
Again, thanks to AAMSX for the confirmation of those rumours regarding BrMSX.

  • Wednesday - 20/12/2000

  • NEW GENS !!! I won't bother you with any more bullshit about this release, go grab it now, stop wasting your time here !

  • "The page is about emulation, and will stay that way" (typos were properly corrected on that msg.)
That excuse was sent to me by the owner of a certain site out there, and I officially declare that excuse as the winner of the all-new LEOTM award.

  • VICE was updated to version 1.6 and there's a ton of changes here and there, which I won't mention here, so go visit the official homepage and see it for yourself. And unlike the stupidest emulation site on earth, I won't throw you towards any "gate.phtml" shit. Thanks to EmuHQ for the news.

  • One of my favorite bands (I mentioned it here earlier probably more than once) is now called New York Against Brukutus... and you can download 55 (!) songs from that band here. Thanks to [val bonna] for the kick in the ears.

  • Monday - 18/12/2000

  • Hi there, I was visitor 800004. The counter kinda warned me that the 800000th visitor probably came from dhcp108.75.lvcm.com. Whoever you are, smile, you're on Candid Camera... not this time, though. Send a screenshot and identify yourself plz.
200.51.75.??? was visitor #800001 :) All of this according to the counter's stats.

  • Sunday - 17/12/2000

  • Maybe 800 is today's lucky number. Tuna sent me this article about Atari800XL machines being used in Czech hospitals. Long live the pro-Tuna movement.

  • Heh, this site's slowly reaching 800000 visits. And it didn't even need to steal stuff from someone else's site to reach that number of visits. And Herbert B. Buse is still the 6-year old retard since this site was born, and maybe even before that.
So, when the 800000th visit happens, will the 800000th visitor stand up, kick Herbert's ass and send me a pic of him/her doing that ? I'd be thankful. (and laughing too) Oh well, just send me a screenshot of this page with the counter indicating "000800000".

  • Saturday - 16/12/2000

  • Now this is a site that sucks and rules at the same time. How could such a thing happen ? Visit the damn site and see it for yourself. Nice encryption work, eh ? Thanks to Trepalium for the link.

  • Friday - 15/12/2000

  • Do you own a "toaster" NES and feel interested in dumping some stuff ? Then take a look at CopyNES, it'll probably satisfy all your needs... well, at least the ones that don't have anything with people of the opposite sex.

  • Don't be surprised if you find WonderSwan/WonderSwan Color r0mz somewhere, since they're beginning to surface, even though the system isn't emulated yet... but the diehard collectors don't care about that. (btw, this post has been updated with a proper link thanks to XxAMPxX)

  • Finally someone else realized the obvious: VGN (Vintage Gayness Nightclub) suuuuuuucks.

  • Genital 1.0 is out and, from what I've read about this release, it now runs Super Street Fighter 2. And partially runs Virtua Racing !!!!! If only that SVP chip was emulated... we'd have perfect graphics emulation for that game. But that'll happen one day. Dream on.

  • FC Power is kinda back from the dead and surprises us with a new rare NES game: Final Fight 3 ! Thanks to Klarth for the warning.

  • Sunday - 10/12/2000

  • MEKA has been updated again, after a 4 month hiatus. Main changes: built-in documentation, reworked input system, 3D glasses emulation. No fun for non-registered users yet, though :D

  • Winston Liu updated his letter of recommendation, which IMHO is one of the most bizarre pages ever. I found out about that page some time ago thanks to Zeroes Unlimited.

  • Oh my god, it's a guide to pets ! And it's written by someone at Something Awful ^_^ After reading part of that you'll know why I like cats so much, and I know a cat even more evil than the example mentioned in that guide.

  • Do you miss Mr. T and his buddies ? Well, sigh no more. Thanks to rde for the link.

  • Angelina Jolie is hot. But a brazilian girl (and what a girl !) named Ellen Rocche was 1000000 times hotter performing the same task some time ago. For those who haven't heard of Ellen yet, I just feel sorry for you.

  • Your daily dose of unofficial Nester has been delivered. Changes ?
    2000/12/10
    code fixed 25(thanx rinao),235(thanx Quietust)
    tested 25,235

    # support 'Rolling Thunder'(#19)
    # support 'T.M.N.T.' & 'T.M.N.T.2'(#25)
    # support '150-in-1'(#235)

  • Saturday - 9/12/2000

  • Ignorance is NOT a yogurt. And I'm trying to compile a "M.I.A." list featuring some emuscene-related ppl that haven't been seen in a while. And You surely have the right to vote somewhere. 12 is never enough.

  • Friday - 8/12/2000

  • MGandhi told you that this is no yogurt because there's one in Brazil also called Bliss.

  • Thursday - 7/12/2000

  • Genesis Power released the Mega Games 10 cartridge recently (blame TecToy), and the 10 games included are Super Hang-On, Golden Axe, Columns, Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, The Revenge of Shinobi, California Games, Sega Soccer, Super Monaco GP and Flicky. Whew.

  • I'm also the last one to post news about Modeler and Rad Mobile (hi MGandhi !) will work in the future, I'm guessing. Sorry about that, I was listening to early Mr. Bungle stuff (a 1989 rehearsal) and also playing Crazy Bikers (GBC), which is a really good game. That's no nice excuse, I know. Sorry again.

  • Loneliness leads people to despair, we know, but this surpassed any despair limits I ever established.

  • And I'm proud to be the last to report about the release of MAME .37b10. Click here for romz, but make sure you have an account there. Damn it, even I have an account there.

  • Hi there, if you bought fMSX-Windows and just received version 2.3, send me fMSX-DOS 2.3 please. Thanks in advance.

  • Monday - 4/12/2000

  • I've seen students crying because of difficult exams (and more than one time), but it's the first time I hear about teachers crying for that same reason.

  • Do you think your connection is too fast ? Or too sluggish ? Well, you can find out more about your bandwidth status right here. Thanks to Malzinhow for the speed-calculating engine.

  • Heh, a nice tit-fucking idea. I hope this one doesn't get uncredited by other losers out there (h1 !). Thanks to Rob Mocca for all the pr0n slang.

  • Saturday - 2/12/2000

  • Cool releases at Genesis Power: two versions of Super Monaco GP.

  • This one doesn't seem to be really new but it's hella interesting... it's a MSX-based console ! And there's even a MSX2 model... btw, VGN sucks (just like any EmulationWorld site), so if you like it, you probably suck as well.

  • <[_TRAC_]> New SNEeSe 0.55 now available with improved sound @ http://www.emuunlim.com/sneese/
(The author himself announced this on IRC, that's great. Keep 'em coming !)

  • Friday - 1/12/2000

  • I'm glad that some really good classic games now have been ported to JavaScript. Really interesting stuff... thanks to Zoop for the link.

  • Thursday - 30/11/2000

  • I think I'm watching too much South Park. And the same old old old episodes. This thing that really happened reminded me of Nurse Gollum. Thanks to Prof. Chicken (heh) for the link.

  • Sunday - 26/11/2000

  • Where in the hell is Mr. Mackey to tell these people that drugs are bad ? (mmmkay)

  • La Abadia del Crimen is another MSX game which is being retouched :)

  • Friday - 24/11/2000

  • This isn't really new: Pom1 0.6 is out since November 2nd... it's an Apple1 emulator for Windows/Unix. I decided to post this because you don't see Apple1 emulators being updated every day/week/etc.

  • Tasty.

  • Bart Simpson released Genital68K, a Motorola 68K emulator developed for his Genesis emulator and now downloadable separately so you users can try optimizing it. Oh wait, his last name's NOT Simpson. Mea culpa.

  • Well, I hope those carts are properly dumped so they may work in SNES emulators in the future. By the way, is the only SNES Tekken 2 dump really a bad dump ? I still dunno. Thanks to seventh for the Pikachu.

  • RockNES was updated again; from what I've read, it's faster now, and some mappers were added and fixed. You NES freaks should download it now I guess. But not here. Try this link.

  • Hello there. Don't turn emulation sites into personal diaries, that happened once with Manboobs' Domain and MD started sucking since then. Don't make me shortlist j00.

  • "If i can make $$$ off popups, I'll add them, so fuck off and die assholes"
That's how people who have advertisements (of any kind) in their stupid emulation websites think. "Assholes", in that case, is/are the one(s) who insist on visiting the "aforementioned" sites. I don't even need to tell who uttered such a thing.
Hint: he'll kiss your ass if you give him (fill in the blank (sub-hint: the word here starts with an 's')).

  • Thursday - 23/11/2000

  • Genesis Power released El Viento a few days ago and I didn't see that one in time. Sorry 'bout that.

  • There's a new Atari2600 game called Crazy Valet doing the rounds. It looks like you've seen it before, but the game's concept is actually pretty creative :) But for you rom leeching freaks out there... only a demo of that game is available. Do you want it so bad ? Then buy it. Then dump it, if you want. Thanks to the usual place for the news.

  • I'm not one of those who don't even know how to vote properly (err, Mr. Gore, Mr. Bush, what was your nationality again ?), so keep me out of this "american holiday" stuff, I'm not THAT stupid. And this time it wasn't me who stuffed the turkey with laxatives.

  • Saturday - 18/11/2000

  • HELP NEEDED - Innocent Emulation needs a decent host. My rant: it's another excellent rom site that's dying due to lack of a decent host (free web space really sucks), and if anybody out there can help the IE staff (make sure you do visit the site and see its great content), please drop them a line and help ressurrecting a very nice rom site. Thanks for reading this and even more thanks for those who'll try helping out.
This world's unfair to the extreme even when it comes to emulation websites... while sites which suck cock are still there, good sites are dying. That's a thing that should be changed. It wasn't this way in the past, as far as I can remember anything. Good luck, and long live Innocent Emulation (and every other nice, even if small, emulation website out there).

  • Friday - 17/11/2000

  • How a kid can write anything about emulation history remains a mystery to me. Someone who should write something like that should be one who's seen it all. Not me, of course.

  • Let's realize that lately I've been only mentioning remakes, polls, and Winamp. Let's mention remakes again. Let's announce that a new beta of the King's Valley II remake is out. Let's shut up already. And sleep.

  • Wednesday - 15/11/2000

  • Judging from the betas and RCs coming out lately, I knew this could happen pretty soon: the release of WinAMP 2.7 !

  • There. A new poll is set. Go vote. I'll do that later when a few people already make their choices. I don't wanna influence anyone by being the first to vote. And I really hope to get more than 22 votes :/

  • Well, here are the last poll's results:

Question : Who's gonna be the next lev ? (total: 22 votes)

Winners (5 votes) - Uzplayer, "none of the above" (this could be anyone)
    Runners-up (3 votes) - Zophar, SwampGas, Atila
Almost there (2 votes) - Conjurer
Someday I'll win (1 vote) - Marat Fayzullin
Pretty forgotten eh ? (0 votes) - Katharsis, Tim Eckel

Congratulations George, you won. And who's this "none of the above" guy ? Is it me ? Oh, btw, I voted for SwampGas. Another stupid poll is coming up.

  • Good news. King's Valley II isn't the only MSX game that got a Windows remake... there are two other games that received almost the same treatment here. Knightmare had its plot changed a bit, and Nemesis has new stages and stuff, and a nice initial message :)

  • Sunday - 12/11/2000

  • What a nice example of what a glossary is. Oh wait, it's got a sequel.

  • The brain behind Node99 (remember that one ?), also known as Sean Whalen, is still alive, I guess.

  • ClassicGaming turned 3 yesterday. That's another site which was pretty forgotten/shortlisted in the emulation/retrogaming "scene".

  • Famicommunist, which was released a few hours ago, isn't the only communist NES emulator out there (iNES comes to mind). But it's good. And it features mappers still not emulated anywhere else.

  • GB Power ! Err... some kind of GB Power just opened, but this time with a more original name: Project DMG-01.

  • The 3 latest releases at Genesis Power simply rule. Xenon 2 is pretty fucked up on the Genesis, yeah right, but it's still Xenon 2.

  • Try voting like an american, it's so much fun ! Note that the link given is just an example, no candidates names are shown. Thanks to sabrewulf for the link.
Sorry, no "Dick & Bush" jokes for now.

  • Saturday - 11/11/2000

  • Hey you, Pikachu. Did you know that even the GBC may not be suitable for minors ? Thanks to DrSteveW for the link.

  • Akilla, NES4PC author, is now working on another NES emulator called Nesturbation. Please don't confuse the emulator with the IRC channel. Thanks.

  • The "best intro on a GBC game" award goes out, at least temporarily, to UbiSoft's F1 Racing Championship. You can grab it at JL-Picard's. VGB used to slow down my machine after the formatting, but it no longer does that.

  • Friday - 10/11/2000

  • IRC is *the* place for dumb people and, if you really want to take a look at that, you may try it with mIRC 5.81, if you're a Windows user.

  • New ZSNES. Well, it's not really new. But it now probably features a somewhat decent netplay system. Whee. ZTnet still sucks.

  • Wednesday - 8/11/2000

  • SMS Power was updated with 2 new games, one of them being Gulkave (SG-1000) which is an almost unknown shooter which is pretty good, I remember playing it a lot on the MSX... almost a decade ago.

  • Tuesday - 7/11/2000

  • Time for a brief retro-plug. (Please don't misunderstand the meaning of "retro-plug") Here's my 1st emulation-related website. Just found it in an ancient bookmark.htm I still have. That site sucks, I know. But some leech-friendly links may still work, even though they're old as hell (obviously older than END). But that old blinking cliche is still valid.

  • I wonder if Beavis and Butt-Head will look like this when they become old... if they ever become old... if they aren't old already.

  • Monday - 6/11/2000

  • There's a huge update at Sardius'. 58 new ROMZ added... including Punch-Out!! "Mr. Dream Version". Leech.

  • NextGen Wars, featuring DC and PSX2... one of which is disappointing many people out there. Thanks to WEmu for the link.

  • The MAME fairy made your wishes come true, I guess. MAME was updated for like the 1,000,000th time :D And... some "smaller" (but not less important) arcade emulators are being assimilated. You'll notice that.

  • Sunday - 5/11/2000

  • If you experienced problems accessing this page recently, blame Yngwie J. Malmsteen for that, and thank MickoZ (again) for fixing things that needed to be fixed.

  • Saturday - 4/11/2000

  • Well, sometimes I feel better by posting stuff that happened more recently... such as the releases of Mario Tennis and DKC for the GameBoy Color... VGB 2.0 is still needed.

  • Time to post OLD emulation-related news. SO OLD. SOOOOOOOOO OLD. Ok then, the NES version of The Smurfs is already available... out there.

  • The almighty IDSA almost killed all the Underdogs... but only killed some of 'em. Now that site's split in two main parts... leech-friendly stuff and leech-unfriendly stuff.

  • Teehee. What used to be shit, now became... umm... good-looking shit. And it's MSIE 4.0 compatible. And Netscape doesn't suck, even though this site you're looking at isn't really Netscape compatible right now.

  • Friday - 3/11/2000

  • Having problems with Win2K hardware compatibility ? Some site called NT Compatible may help, if you go search for drivers or something... thanks to Kalas for the link.

  • Thursday - 2/11/2000

  • Dennis Pasveer is remaking a classic MSX game called King's Valley II ! A beta is already available for download and it looks promising... be sure to check out that remake's progress also.

  • I think you remember that brazilian electronic music band named Golden Shower, which won one VMB (the brazilian equivalent to MTV's Video Music Awards) and appeared on a few emulation sites some time ago... well, their site is ready and it looks pretty cool !

  • Actually, no one ruined EmuSphere's surprise (for me at least)... it was already ruined earlier by IRC... and wasn't FPSE that PSX emulator with a team who accused many other PSX emu developers of using their code ?

  • Tuesday - 31/10/2000

  • Hi again. I formatted my hard drive and I don't know what to do. HELP ! BTW, VGB 2.0 is out and I hope I grab it asap... (must... play... Pokémon...)

  • Monday - 30/10/2000

  • test3 - update: woah, mad leet style, do you like that fnm? ;-)

  • Sunday - 29/10/2000

  • The guy behind this page is the most creative, skilled and 1337357 webdesigner out there... go see it for yourself :D

  • Kombate Mexicano... a 100% mexican MK-like game. Looks funny. I'm not brave enough to play it. Not now.

  • Calm down, you. There's no hacking going on in here... well, maybe this lovely image, along with the title that describes it very well, will keep you busy. Thanks to CherryRoms for the pic.

  • test2

  • test1

  • YES and NO ! YES, END now uses NewsPro... many thanks to MGandhi for authorization/webspace and to MickoZ for the extremely hard work behind all the NewsPro structure (adding cgi-bin mumbo-jumbo, fixing the layout carefully, helping me with the basics, and so on). And NO, MickoZ didn't hack this site.
And black is the color of the cloud that stands abooooooooove meeeeeeeee... *singing*

  • I (MickoZ) have added newspro to END, it was somewhat a bitch because I needed to verify if it was the first news and if it was the last one on the page... why? Simply because I needed to handle the table (sound similar handle ~ table ;-), however here it is, enjoy and play nicely with it!
